One man’s trash another is another man’s horse sculpture. John Lopez,
a South Dakotan sculptor, creates life-sized scrap metal sculptures
with a unique twist. In his hands, old discarded farm equipment is
recycled into big, striking sculptures that celebrate the American Old
West; creatures including a horse, buffalo and even a cowboy riding atop
a triceratops.
